The new Oppo Reno series of smartphones boasts three models, including the 10x zoom and the 5G model. Our comparison pits the vanilla Reno vs the 10x vs the 5G handset, to see how they stack up for camera hardware, speed, battery, software and beyond.
I’ve been hands-on with these new Oppo phones at the European launch and so far they certainly impress, for both hardware and software. That standard Reno mobile has a €499 asking price, which is far cheaper compared with its siblings - and you get that same pivot selfie camera. However, the 10x zoom and 5G models boast P30 Pro-style triple-lens optics, Snapdragon 855 performance and bigger battery too. That’s a far more premium experience, especially considering the impressive telephoto lens which packs the same level of lossless zoom as Huawei’s flagship.
These Oppo Reno phones will be hitting the UK and other global markets from May 2019. Which are you tempted by, if any? Would you pay that price for the more premium models like the Reno 5G? Let us know below and stay tuned for more hands-on action!
