This is riding Tram 73 in Krakow, Poland on a Saturday. I hopped on the tram in front of #Krakow Glowny main train station, did a lap out and around the track and back.
This line was a great choice as it circles around the heart of Old Town, but you also get to see the beautiful buildings and architecture that has changed little since WW2, given Krakow was largely untouched by the war as high ranking Germans lived there and left it alone.
The tram system in Krakow is outstanding and one of the oldest in the world, first starting in 1882! It has over 90 kilometers of active route and as you travel along it, you just get the sense how well planned and integrated it is. The trams just work seamlessly with traffic etc. Also was so regular, every couple of minutes a tram left or arrived. You can download a tram map at [ Ссылка ]
One thing though. If you buy a multi ride or 24 hour ticket at one of the ticket vending machines outside the tram, you need to validate inside the tram in one of the little yellow machines. It will punch two holes in the ticket. If you don't validate and even have a 24 hour ticket, you will get a fine, like I did 😅. I tried arguing with the ticket guy saying it was not a single ticket where someone might ride all day with it and just not validate until they need to, and that it was a 24 hour ticket only about two hours old with obvious date and time stamped on it by the vending machine. He still said no, no, no lol, you must validate and now you must pay 120 Zloty!
