The Shaft Sinkhole Tragedy | Cave-Diving Disaster shook Australia
This is the story of the Shaft Sinkhole disaster where a team of nine divers, including four members of the Millot family, ventured into a narrow 2-foot shaft that opened into a larger cavity. They aimed to set a record at a depth of 250 feet, but things went wrong due to the silted water. They all suffered from nitrogen narcosis and extreme pain. Disoriented and lost in the cave, they couldn't find their way out and eventually ran out of oxygen. Three members of the Millot family, including a diving club member named Gordon, tragically died. Only Glenn Millot survived.
