পদ্মার অব্যাহত ভাঙন আর তীব্র স্রোতের কারণে শিমুলিয়া-কাঁঠালবাড়ি ও পাটুরিয়া দৌলতদিয়া নৌরুটে ফেরি চলাচল চরমভাবে ব্যাহত হচ্ছে। এতে ঈদে ঘরমুখো মানুষ ও চালকদের দুর্ভোগ চরমে উঠেছে। অনেকে ঝুঁকি নিয়েই স্পিডবোটে করে উত্তাল পদ্মা পাড়ি দিচ্ছে। এদিকে, টাকার বিনিময়ে ঘাট পারাপারের অভিযোগ যাত্রীদের।
