NBC's ratings were red hot during the mid 90s. NBC was prospering with hit TV shows like Seinfeld, Friends, Frasier, ER and Law & Order. They also had sports like the Olympics, NBA and Super Bowl, and Nightly News and Dateline were boosts for the network news. WNYT's peak was about this time as well.
