Calavo Growers is currently harvesting in the heart of the California avocado season. With an abundance of big, great quality avocados, Calavo expects current conditions to continue over the next couple months. Michael Angelo, Director of National Sales, tells AndNowUKnow, "California avocados have never tasted or shipped as good as they have this season. This is definitely a consumers' market. There are large volumes of California avocados out there at very reasonable prices and most retailers are promoting every week."
Columbine Vineyards is now harvesting in the San Joaquin Valley. The grape grower is offering Sugarones as well as Flames out of the Arvin area. Peak season for the varieties will hit between now and late July. Shawn Caldwell, Sales Representative, tells AndNowUKnow, "As weather has been ideal and quality is good, the season is shaping up to be an excellent one and we look forward to sharing our fruit with our retail partners."
