After recently joining the Hockey Hall of Fame, Al Arbour is honoured by the New York Islanders during their 25th Anniversary season. A banner commemorating Arbour's 739 wins is raised to the rafters of the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum and the road leading to the arena is renamed "Al Arbour Way".
