We take a look at the episode 10 trailer and the promotional photos that Showtime released ahead of the season finale of Dexter New Blood (Season 9). Sins of the Father is the tenth and final episode in the Showtime special event series Dexter: New Blood. It will debut on the 6th of January 2022 on Showtime.
The description from Showtime reads:
Dexter and Harrison try to live a normal life in a place that they have discovered is not as normal as they thought it was. Will the two of them be able to live happily ever after, despite all the threats coming their way? Season finale.
Episode 10 could be the Dexter series finale. It's not clear if there will be a definitive ending to Dexter Morgan's story, but all signs seem to be pointing in that direction. Angela is closing in on discovering that he is the Bay Harbor Butcher. She also had a tip that he's responsible for Matt Caldwell's death. They will be looking for his father Kurt which he got rid of with Harrison. Things look desperate for the main character, but he's gotten out of similar situations multiple times in the original series.

10 years after Dexter Morgan went missing in the eye of Hurricane Laura, everyone in Miami believes he is dead. His son Harrison left for Argentina with Hannah, and Dexter lived under an assumed name in Oregon for a period of time. Now he’s settled in Iron Lake, NY, working at a local fish and game store under the alias Jim Lindsay. It’s been a decade since he killed anyone, and his dead sister Deb has taken the place of his adoptive father Harry as the person he talks to inside his head. In the beginning of the season Harrison tracked Dexter down, and the first season will explore their father-son relationship.

Dexter's new revival cast also includes Julia Jones (Westworld), Alano Miller (Sylvie’s Love), Johnny Sequoyah (Believe), Jamie Chung (Lovecraft Country), Oscar Wahlberg (NOS4A2), Jack Alcott (The Good Lord Bird), and Michael Cyril Creighton. Clancy Brown will play a new villain that Dexter will have to face off against. Clyde Phillips, who served as the showrunner for the four first seasons of Dexter, will return for that role, as well as produce alongside Hall and director Marcos Siega.
