I started learning this game and getting some of this footage for the MvC:Special Partner video. For that project I wanted footage of all of the characters that originated in COTA doing something interesting. So, since I ended up with clips for most of the characters, I thought I'd spend a bit longer playing and get combos with the rest of the cast. Now I can show off the full clips as well as combos with the rest of the characters.

Since this game was broken in half about 20 years ago, this video isn't exactly state of the art but maybe there's one or 2 loops in there that haven't already been in 100 other videos. Also, some of the more recent videos you may have seen are tool-assisted so that gave me another excuse to put this together.

Extra Notes!

In this game, the opponent will flip out and become stunned a few hits into your first combo. If you're not familiar with the game (like I wasn't a few weeks ago) it looks really odd and it's not super clear that the opponent is actually stunned. I've chosen to start all combos in this video from stun (so the opponent will never flip out) simply because, aesthetically I didn't like the way it looked.

Also, you can combo into and out of throws. It's perfectly legitimate and inescapable but, again, if you're not familiar with how the game works, it looks really strange. So, I've chosen not to do that in any of these combos either.
