The long-awaited Bodenplatte update is here! IL-2 has been updated to version 3.201 which includes a new pilot physiology model, increased visual distance, three new flyable planes, and the AI B-25. I spent the last couple of days testing the P-51D-15, the Tempest, and the P-38J. The P-51 is a long-awaited upgrade for the Allied fighter pilots in Battle of Stalingrad. Players will immediately notice its better climb and turn rate compared to the P-40. The gyroscopic gun sight is also a welcome addition for dogfights. It can also carry bombs and rockets, and it is reasonably capable of ground attack missions.

I flew a couple of missions on Combat Box last night and finally achieved an ace in a flight with the P-51D. I shot down six enemy aircraft, but unfortunately, I only recorded five of them. Here it is for you to see. Please like, comment, and subscribe!
