A quick look at a TRV and how it is fitted, programmed and dropped into Home Assistant. Zigbee is a great way of integrating devices with more robustness and energy efficiency than Wi-Fi. The hub is cheap and just acts as a simple gateway to and from the Wi-Fi network. This ZigBee hub came from AliExpress in 15 days and integrated straight into the Tuya app. Similarly the TRV appeared quickly too. Because my Tuya account is already integrated into Home Assistant the entity appears immediately. From the point of pairing, further automations are pretty easy to undertake
