Singapore's very first paid-on-demand autonomous shuttle buses hit the road on Jan 25. The two service routes are in Science Park 2 and on Jurong Island. They are under a trial expected to end by May 2021. The buses will be self steering with numerous sensors looking out for road markings, traffic lights and obstacles. Speeds will range between 25kmh and 30kmh, but a bus captain will be behind the wheel in case anything unexpected happens.
