Working with faculty and students from WWU, we restored their donated GM EV1 to original and fully drivable condition at my service facility (EV Bones LLC) in Mesa, AZ.
When GM donated the car, they'd gutted the battery tunnel of all components/wiring, gutted the PIM of everything short of the IGBT's, and removed other critical systems modules. All to ensure the car could never be made driveble again.
Except those pesky fellows at EV Bones knew how put it back together using components salvaged from the GM electric S-10 fleet trucks.
The EV1 was presented to the public at the Renewable LA event in California a few days following the restoration. Tired from a long day, my voice narrates the beginning of the video as I initialize the Inverter electronics for the first time since it was disabled.
