This is a small sized Agave which is called the hedgehog Agave because of its spiny surface. To me its attraction is its change in color dependent on its habitat. It is somewhat difficult at a seedling stage, but eventually it may survive.
Like all agaves it will grow easily from seeds and suckers. Seeds, soaked in water for at least 12 hours and later planted in a communal pot, should germinate after about a week. Keep in mind sometimes seeds do take a longer time. If you cannot wait, a sucker from a friend will do ncely as it will produce a great plant in no time.

This channel will illustrate my deep interest in flora, and will document my many journeys around the world to see gardens and habitats.
