In Summer of 2014, Lilly and Dirk sailed with their chartered Aloha yacht in the Gulf of Fethiye, Turkey. They arrived by plain in Dalaman airport, took a ride with the havas shuttle bus to Gocek. There they chartered their Aloha yatch from the Budgetsailing charterer.
The passage from Gocek to Kizilkuyruk Koyu too 4 hours at light wind conditions. They passed by the aquarium bay, Yassica island, the channel between Tersane and Domuz Island and Rugged bay before entering the sea bay of Kizilkuyruk Koyu.
Anchoring there was difficult for our small Aloha because the chain is only 40 meters in length but the depth about 30 meters. We found a shallow spot near the beach.
On the beach Lilly found a swing which she know how to use. From the beach leads an anchient pathway up to the 2000+ year old Lycean village of Lydae. The biggest attractions there are the runined church and the cistern.
