Coming home is meant to be something that brings you back in the comfort zone, but I didn't want to sink back into the ordinary so soon after having lived the extraordinary.
I decided to do something different - to face my fear of heights by climbing an active volcano with my friend Mary whom I will be leading an experiential education trip around Tanzania with.
Little did I know that the date we decided to climb was the biggest meteor shower of the year.
We saw countless shooting stars every time we looked up in the sky.
However, it was not all such a dreamy experience in the end.
Something quite tragic happened and it was not quite the ceremonious homecoming that I expected.
