Ingredients:
Rui fish (8 pieces)
1 tsp lime juice
½ tsp salt
½ tsp red chilli
½ tsp turmeric
1 tsp cooking oil
½ cups onion (sliced)
½ tsp salt
¼ cup onion paste
Garlic paste (3 cloves)
¾ tsp red chilli
½ tsp turmeric
1¼ tsp coriander
300 gm potato
¼ cup water
600 gm cauliflower
¼ cup water
½ tsp salt
4 cups hot water
¾ tsp cumin (roasted)
4 green chillies
1 tbsp coriander (chopped)
Instructions:
1. In a bowl containing rui mach, squeeze lime juice, add salt, red chilli, turmeric and drizzle cooking oil - mix ingredients together well.
2. Drizzle cooking oil into a pan, stir and add the fish pieces - fry for 2 to 3 minutes on each side.
3. After the fish have been fried, place them aside and drizzle more oil into the pan and add onions.
4. Sprinkle salt whilst continuously mixing (saute until light brown on medium heat).
5. Mix in onion paste and garlic paste - saute for 2 minutes on medium heat.
6. Add red chilli powder, turmeric and coriander - saute for 2 minutes on medium heat.
7. After this step, put in potatoes and add water - mix well.
8. Put on the lid and cook for 3 minutes on low heat.
9. After 3 minutes, add cauliflower and stir well, whilst adding more water.
10. Again, place the lid of the pan on and cook for 3 minutes on low medium heat.
11. Mix the cauliflower around and add salt for taste.
12. Add 4 cups of hot water and bring it to a boil (high heat).
13. Put in the fish pieces and use a spoon to ensure the gravy has been put onto both sides of the fish.
14. Cook for 5 minutes on high heat.
15. Then, add cumin, green chillies and sprinkle coriander.
16. Ready to enjoy!
