The department of Energy’s Scientific adviser says. “by 2025 there will be no oil in the North sea and the gas there will be near exhaustion” and coal will increasingly be used for chemical production. Dr. Walter Marshall believes a decision must be made soon to invest huge sums of money – more than 100 million thousand million pounds to provide Britain with between 150 and 400 nuclear power stations by 2050.
But are there other options available, some experts say that wave energy production can fill some of our energy requirements.
