▶ An Estonian man walked along a slackline set up on Istanbul's Bosphorus Bridge on Sunday evening, a 1,074-meter walk that took him from Asia to Europe.
👉 Jaan Roose said the car traffic beneath him on the bridge, as well as planes and helicopters above, were a distraction during the 47-minute walk on the slackline set up between the legs of the bridge, 165 meters above sea level.
"In a city environment, it's always harder to walk slacklines than somewhere in the nature," he said, adding that he tried to stay focused on his steps.
"I had moments where I needed to rest my arms because they were getting cramped and during that time, I was able to watch also the Old City and the nice view of the city of Istanbul," Roose said, adding that it was “unique” that he walked from Asia to Europe on a slackline. (REUTERS)
