Let's get a check now on the weather with our Michelle Park for details on the Jindo weather where there was the accident. Michelle at the time of the crash, can we expect the accident was due to the fog?
Well, at the time of the departure there was fog with the sight distance about 20 kilometers, but there were also times and sites where the condition got worse with only 1 to 2 kilometers. Also at the time of the accident, there was northerly wind blowing at 2.0 meters with the sea water temperature at about 12.6 degrees which the values are in the average state.
With all that condition considered, was it right for the ship to depart?
Well usually, before the ship departs all the readings such as wind level, sea levels and any warnings are given by the sea patrol. And by the looks of the weather conditions and it's values there were no big danger for the ship to depart. Also the fog was there, but it couldn't have effected the accident big because the sight distance were managable and the for was going on and off.
Also, the people who jumped in after the crash there are still people missing but with the current readings they have approximately 2 hours survival in the water and 30 minutes longer if they are wearing the life vest.
That's all I have for you at this moment. I'm Michelle Park. Back to you Conn-young.
