Livingston fell to a 2-1 defeat to Championship side Inverness Caledonian Thistle in Group G of the Premier Sports Cup at the Tony Macaroni Arena.
Goals from Austin Samuels and Daniel MacKay either side of Max Stryjek's red card had the visitors in control, before a late Livingston rally and a fine strike from Jason Holt reduced the arrears. Holt had the chance to haul Livi level from the spot late on, but his effort from 12 yards was off-target and the visitors held on to claim all three points and leave the Lions with an uphill struggle to qualify for the second round of the competition.
