On June 30th, the Mayor and City Council celebrated the re-opening of the Tustin Sports Park playground. The previous playground equipment and surfacing was installed over fifteen years ago and needed replacement. Our Community Services Commission had identified the upgrade of this playground in their seven-year CIP priority list.
In addition to the playground re-opening, the City also celebrated the Grand Opening of Bageled at Tustin Sports Park with owner/operator Joel Preciado.
Joel Preciado’s new venture features a variety of food and beverage items including bagels, coffee, and sandwiches, as well as ‘grab and go’ options. In addition, inside is a small retail pro shop that provides a variety of athletic equipment suitable to the various sports activities held at the park such as tennis, softball, baseball and soccer.
