There is a bug in the most recent Nest Wi-Fi firmware which causes the Internet to stop working. We can see this issue while simply pinging the ***LAN*** side of the Nest router and observing packet drops or latency.
A speed test inside the Google Home App fixes the problem 100% of the time.

Basically using out of the box settings, nothing special or tricky setup here:
DNS Settings - Automatic
LAN Settings - Using DHCP Pool
IPv6 - OFF
DHCP IP Reservations - None
Port Management - None
Device Mode - AUTO (NAT standard mode)
