Scotland brought in a ban on the supply of single use plastics in 2022.
The ban covered cutlery, plates and beverage stirrers made of plastic, and food containers, cups and lids made from expanded polystyrene.
Failure to comply with the rules carries a maximum fine of five thousand pounds.
An STV News investigation has found that despite the common use of now prohibited items, not a single fine has been issued.
