A love story only Axe could tell! #GoodAdsMatter
Titled “Soulmates”, the ad takes a cinematic leap, introducing Axe’s upgraded product range with a narrative that tells the audience to “take fate into their own hands.”
The story follows a man chasing destiny as he crosses eras and lifetimes, always encountering a woman who seems to be his soulmate—only to be torn apart by circumstances. Well, yes, Yes, it certainly exudes the essence of a romance-meets-time-travel saga—yet, it’s still an ad!
Finally, Axe’s revamped product range becomes the secret that empowers him to seize the moment and connect with her—cue the happy ending.
The ad retains Axe’s signature playful undertone but leans into a more romantic, cinematic storytelling style with a soundtrack that is a modern rendition of Harry Nilsson’s 1960s classic “One”, perfectly blending nostalgia with freshness.
