This is an portrait painting that started off with a bang - I immediately messed up and had to start over. And then I fell into a bit of a trap, adjusting the body a lot, but the head only a little, causing my overall proportions to be out of balance. Fortunately for me, oil paint is very forgiving and I was able to fix it to some extent. This figurative study of a woman with trees and greenery behind her is my 229th total oil painting. I'll bookmark some of the key moments below.
