Warm-ups are both underrated and overrated. Underrated in a sense that people usually just go through the motions or skip this step at all. This is a big no-no since you're going to miss an opportunity to maximize your gains from your training. Studies show that warm-ups does improve your training performance which helps you boost your progress from your training. Not only that, it prepares your joints, muscles, and mind for the upcoming demanding task. However, warm-ups are also overrated in a sense that some people do too much! This causes you too get tired too early which negatively affects training performance.
