Bō: Path of the Teal Lotus is a hand-drawn aerial metroidvania with a heavy emphasis on pogo mechanics. Jumps and dashes can be reset in the air by hitting enemies or certain obstacles, allowing you to stay airborne and build up a tea meter for using special abilities. When it works, there's a great ebb-and-flow to the combat; when it doesn't, it feels clunky and awful, and coupled with the input eating myself and others have reported, it sometimes feels very naff. Nevertheless, it's a good game -- better than quite a few I've played -- and is clearly well thought out in most cases.
