Boris Johnson faces Prime Minister’s Questions on Wednesday as the government considers further sanctions on Russian oligarchs living in London.
The government on Tuesday announced new sanctions on Belarus, the Russian Central Bank, Russia’s sovereign wealth fund and its chief executive.
The Prime Minister has been calling for further Western action on SWIFT and against Russia’s largest bank Sberbank. The EU on Tuesday proposed cutting off seven Russian banks from SWIFT — but not Sberbank.
Also, overnight Apple announced it would halt sales and limit services like Apple Pay in Russia.
