Cancer is the cause of one in six deaths worldwide, but an increasing number of cancer cases today are curable if detected early and treated effectively. Datasets such as The Cancer Genome Atlas and Genomics England aggregate multimodal data from thousands of individuals, providing a comprehensive landscape of cancer biology that can lead to improved clinical outcomes for a diversity of cancers and patients. However, these petabyte-scale datasets present inherent challenges for data aggregation, sharing, interpretation, and application. In this panel, leaders in data-driven precision oncology will discuss advances, challenges, and future opportunities for the field.
