Follow me as I continue to visit the different banks, trying to get in front of the April 1st Tsunami of tenants being unable to pay their rent! To make matters worse, it looks like the BC Government is now allowing this for 4 months! We are being proactive, and contacting every single one of our lenders to see if we can defer our mortgage payments for the corresponding 4 months. I met with TD Bank today, and they are allowing a one month skipped mortgage payment per property for rentals. Hopefully they can expand on this program for next month so we can stay ahead of the curve. Investors, do whatever you can to defer your mortgage if you don't have the cash reserves to carry you through 4 months worth of missed rents!!!
