In this video, I'm cooking a complete breakfast on the new Blackstone E Series electric tabletop griddle. It is completely non-stick and absolutely no foods will stick to its surface and cleanup is super easy and fast, requiring only a plastic spatula and paper towels.
Shopping List:
2 eggs
3 strips bacon
Bisquick Shake and Pour pancake mix
1 frozen hash brown square
1 slice bread
Butter
Water
Maple syrup
Salt, pepper, garlic powder
Directions:
Allow the cold food items to come to room temperature to prevent/reduce lowering the griddle surface temperature.
Pre-heat griddle to 400 degrees.
Place the bacon on the pre-heated griddle and close the lid. Let cook about 5 minutes, flip and fry the other side. Push to the side of the griddle to keep warm when done.
Reduce the temperature of the griddle to 350 degrees for the remainder of the breakfast.
Break up the frozen hash brown square and place on the griddle and warm thoroughly, seasoning with salt, pepper and garlic powder. Push to the side to keep warm.
Prepare the pancake mix per Bisquick instructions on the bottle then pour a small amount onto the griddle. Close the lid and monitor the progress through the see-through lid. When your see bubbles on top of the pancakes start to burst, flip them and cook about 2-3 more minutes. Monitor the bottom for browning and if necessary, place them on top of the bacon or hash brown to prevent over browning.
BE CAREFUL ABOUT NON STICK SPRAYS! Blackstone claims their studies reveal that sprays such as Pam, or other common sprays can damage the griddle non-stick surface, but that the Blackstone non-stick spray will not harm it.
Using the Blackstone heat resistant egg rings, or other suitable ring (NOT METAL), spray the inner side with the Blackstone spray to prevent the eggs from sticking. Pour the eggs into the rings. Close the lid to accelerate cooking time. Monitor the eggs through the see-through lid. When the whites have set, remove the rings, season with salt, pepper and garlic powder and squirt a little water around the eggs to create steam. Close the lid until the yolks have cooked to your liking.
Add butter to the griddle and place the slice of bread in the butter to toast.
Plate up and enjoy!
To clean the griddle, simply push or wipe any lose food matter to the rear grease tray with a plastic spatula then wipe down with paper towels. No soap is necessary.
CAUTION: BE CAREFUL THAT IF YOU WISH TO USE ANY SOAP, USE ONLY MILD DISH DETERGENT SUCH AS ORIGINAL DAWN, WHICH BLACKSTONE APPROVES OF. OTHER SOAPS, SUCH AS EVEN DAWN POWER WASH CONTAINS AN INGREDIENT THAT WILL DAMGE THE GRIDDLE SURFACE.
