In this video let us understand electric vehicle battery working
Electric vehicles use secondary batteries. These are rechargeable batteries.

Basic Working principle:
During charging of the cell, the electrical charger is connected between the terminals that is cathode and anode, the current I flows from the charger into the cathode and out of the anode. 

During discharge, when an external electrical load is connected to the battery cell, the current flows from the cathode through the load and back into the anode.
