You heard it here first; Easter has officially been renamed Feaster! In this official [ Ссылка ] video, Channel Mum and Iceland asked two mums to show us how easy it is to pimp up your Easter feast with some clever food hacks. Watch the full video to see how Kate and Sarah got on...
Recipes featured in this video include Spring Turkey, parmesan roast potatoes, bacon wrapped roast potatoes and two delicious desserts!
Spring Turkey Recipe
Ingredients:
250g softened salted butter
15g frozen parsley
Zest & juice of 1 Lemon
1 defrosted Iceland British Turkey Crown
1 packet frozen tenderstem broccoli
1 packet frozen petits pois
Bisto Best Chicken Gravy
Method:
1. Remove the turkey from the packaging and ease the skin away from the breast
2. Place the softened butter, lemon zest, parsley and seasoning into a mixing bowl – stir until well combined
3. Spoon the butter mix equally under the skin of the turkey and then rub the lemon juice over the turkey and then season
4. Place the turkey into a roasting tin and cover loosely with foil, roast in a preheated 180°C oven for approximately 1 hour 30 minutes, remove the foil and roast for a further 20 minutes
5. Allow to rest for 20 minutes before carving.
6. Cook the broccoli and petit pois according the instructions on the pack
7. Carve the turkey and make up the gravy.
8. Serve with plain roasties and pimped roasties
Parmesan Roast Potatoes Recipe
Ingredients:
100g grated parmesan
500g frozen roast potatoes
Method:
1. Mix together the grated parmesan and potatoes in a large bowl
2. Place onto a baking tray and into a preheated oven at 190°C for 25-30 mins
Bacon Wrapped Roast Potatoes Recipe
Ingredients:
1x packet of Iceland streaky bacon
500g frozen roast potatoes
Method:
1.Take the bacon out of the packet and lay the rashers individually onto a chopping board
2. Place a potato onto the end of each rasher and roll the potato up
3. Place onto a baking tray and into a preheated oven at 190°C for 25-30 mins
Crushed Maltesers, Raspberries & Vanilla Ice Cream Recipe
1. Place Maltesers into a snappy bag and gently crush with a rolling pin
2. Top over a scoop of Vanilla Ice Cream and finish by crumbling frozen raspberries on top
Pavlova
Plate it up and crumble frozen raspberries on top
