All of the Vendee Globe 2020 race fleet is now below the equator, with Charal making a fantastic recovery from the back of the field, getting ready to enter the ranking again, maybe sooner then some think! Meanwhile Apivia is running away with the prize, or is Charlie Dalin taking a big risk, riding the heart of the storm as he passes the Cape?


It's amazing to see how almost the entire front field will be passing the cape within about a day of each other, foilers and non foilers, it seems the challenging weather of the Atlantic has so far negated any major advantage of either designs, but now the southern ocean is here. And the fabled foilers are finally able, or should be able, to make substantial gains on the rest of the fleet, but will they?!
