One of the first files CBN had signed was to increase pension for the elderly and physically disabled. Through the NTR Bharosa Scheme, CBN has provided social security pensions for a whopping 44 lakh beneficiaries. He also kept his promise of increasing the pensions for old-aged people and widows by five times from Rs 200 to Rs 1,000 and for People with Disabilities to Rs 1,500 from Rs 500.
