Synopsis:
Strong high pressure will remain anchored across the interior west, north of Arizona, through the much of the upcoming week. As a result, easterly flow aloft will continue to import moisture across the greater southwest US. An upper level low will move westward across New Mexico and Arizona today and tonight bringing an increasing chance of showers and thunderstorms across the region.
With the added clouds and humidity, temperatures will be much cooler than those of recent days.
