11. SOUNDBITE (Italian) Attilio Gubbiotti, mayor of Sellano:
"Everyone sees it as a crazy idea and even a bit dangerous and it's not true because it's extremely safe and there are trained personnel to put the harnesses on and get (people) across the bridge. As you can see, the (safety) system is very reliable and state of the art and so there is no problem at all. It is an extremely safe bridge where you can enjoy the freedom of the height of 175 meters immersed in this beautiful valley of ours.”

16. SOUNDBITE (English) Roberto Battista, municipal councillor of Sellano:
"Well, considering that this is an area that has been abandoned gradually since the 1960s, we needed something with a wow factor, something really a bit visible to attract people and to set in motion a machine that's been standing still and idle for a while. The bridge seems to be the best possible idea: fast to realise, low impact in terms of environment - because it's not a heavy structure, and it’s likely to bring a lot of people, so create jobs, create activities."

20. SOUNDBITE (English) Roberto Battista, municipal councillor of Sellano:
"Well, the bridge, it's, let's say the tip of the iceberg. We are developing a plan which will take about five years, we expect to be completed, whereby the bridge works as the main attractor. But all around the bridge, we are developing activities, from trekking to biking, horse riding and we have several other plans, big and small. And the idea is to coordinate all these plans so that the area becomes an attractor (attraction) in itself. And we're trying to encourage people to stay here for a few days rather than just coming, crossing the bridge and going, because that's one of the problems in many tourist localities."
