A time lapse of high cirrus clouds streaming overhead at the NWS office in Elko. This is the "advance moisture" for the strong monsoon push we are expecting beginning this weekend. It's origin is the subtropical eastern Pacific. Soon enough, we'll have middle level and then lower level moisture, along with thunderstorms. You can tell a lot about what is going to happen by watching the changes in the sky.
