As most owners of the Cold Steel Trail Boss axe know, there is currently no manufactured sheath available to protect your axe. This is a problem if you plan to take your axe anywhere besides your backyard, so you pretty much have to make your own sheath. There are dozens - if not hundreds - of great axe sheath designs out there, and in researching them i came up with this simple and inexpensive leather sheath design. To make this sheath, you'll need to take a trip to your local Tandy Leather (or equivalent craft store), and pick up some scrap leather and hardware. Using those materials and some simple tools, I show you in this video how to put together a simple sheath that will protect your axe during whatever journey you're taking it on.
