Description This is a 4-hour course split over two days. This workshop will focus on learning how to identify common safety problems at existing unsignalized intersections and how to reduce crashes through proven low-cost answers. In 2015, the data reveals that 80% of rural intersection fatalities occurs at unsignalized intersections. While 23% of Idaho’s population lives in rural areas 56% of all fatalities occur in rural areas. We will discuss innovative solutions to remedy intersection location and layout problems, warning signs, regulatory and guide signing and markings.
