Well, folks… Don’t call it a comeback. I’ve been around. Just hangin’ loose the past couple years, in terms of my online presence. Still been giggin’ a ton in real life here in my city. But I figured it was time to get back to the online grind and start up a more consistent wave of content.
One of my biggest heroes, Gordon Lightfoot, passed away earlier this month at the age of 84. Those of you who are at all familiar with me may understand that it’s a loss I will be grieving for a long time to come. Earlier this week, I stopped in to play at one of my favourite local open mics, The Tunesday Open Stage at Sherlock Holmes Pub in downtown Edmonton, hosted by Kim Gates. During my 3-song mini set, I went into this lil’ diddy from 1972’s “Old Dan’s Records”. I plan on doing a more elaborate recording of this one at some point once I got some semblance of a home “studio” set up, so I hope y’all stay tuned for that.
