Slip and fall injuries happen every day. People trip on sidewalks, in public areas that have fallen into disrepair and even while inside stores or other venues. The law that covers slip and fall accidents is known as premises liability. This law says that owners of properties must provide reasonable safety area where people will walk that is free from environmental hazards. Things like not shoveling snow, melting ice, or not fixing cracks in sidewalks can be dangerous and it is the duty of the property owner to take care of those things
