In wartime Ukraine, food security has become key in the fight against Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Thus, farmers across the country continue to farm despite the risks brought forth by the war.
Ms. Vira and her family manage a dairy farm in Lviv Oblast, and since Russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine started, they help internally displaced persons and continue to develop their business.
World Council of Credit Unions' Credit for Agriculture Producers' (CAP) Project, funded by USAID, continues to support Ukrainian farmers together with our reliable partners - credit unions, providing them with financing under the Liquidity Fund launched by USAID Ukraine and Worldwide Foundation for Credit Unions.
Thanks to the loan received from Credit Union Boikivschyna, Ms. Vira and her family built a new hangar, where their herd of 30 new heifers now live.
Watch the inspiring story of Ms. Vira in the new video by CAP Project!
