Mugolio is a syrup made of Green Pine Cones from non-toxic edible Conifer Trees. The best time of the year to forage sustainably for non-toxic Green Pine Cones is between Spring and early Summer 🙂 I live in Toronto and I foraged from the the following Conifer Trees: Spruce, Bishop Pine and Norway Spruce. I have been wanting to make this for sometime now, but the opportunity didn't present itself until now (as Green Pine Cones are more readily available now).
