Did you find that fossil ammonite quickly? I could see the eroded keel of the ammonite protruding out of the stones. The fossil ammonite is called Liparoceras sp. , its a 180 million year old ammonite, found at low tide along the Jurassic Coast. The ammonite was an ancient marine sea creature. I recommend wearing safety spectacles and sturdy gloves when using a geological hammer. I go fossil hunting at low tide for these little fossils, i stay away from the dangerous cliffs that are liable to fall suddenly and without warning.
