Learn how to create a realistic shooting mechanic in Unity for your games in just 10 minutes.
For this example, I will be demonstrating the tutorial in a First Person Shooter (FPS).
To implement the mechanic, we will be using raycasting and for the visuals some simple animations and particle systems to make our shooting seem more realistic.
If you are interested in more advanced implementations of shooting (Such as recoil effects, spray patterns, etc.), comment below in order to include extension parts of this video for more advanced topics.
A feature i forgot to mention was the addition of a sound effect, which you can do using an audio source and playing it the same way as the animation and particle system.
