This video shows how to make easy knife with Harbor Freight Machete and olive tree wood. This was a quick project and only required simple tools. Band saw, angle grinder, drill press, bench grinder, belt sander and palm sander. I cut down an Olive tree and was able to keep all the wood for projects. It is amazing how beautiful the olive wood is with the dark rings and peach hues!! The Machete was $5 and supplied enough metal for two knives. As I learn to craft with metal and the work to shape, edge and profile a blade; I will continue to use cheap or free scrap metal and wood cuttings from my back yard! I have been doing a lot with dead saw blades and will post some videos of these projects.
