if you will pray the prayers I am suggesting below, from your heart. That Blood was not shed in vain; it was shed for forgiveness, deliverances, protection, etc. You would be cheating yourself, if you do not use that facility.
HOW DO I GET THE BLOOD OF JESUS TO WORK FOR ME
Get born again
You have to become part of the family of God for you to enjoy the benefits of the kingdom. So for the blood to work for you, you have to get born again.
Eschew sin
You have to be in good standing with God for the blood of Jesus to work for you. Sin separates you from God and prevents the blood from working for you.
Total obedience to God
There should be total obedience to God and to His servants that He has given spiritual oversight and authority over you.
Apply the Blood of Jesus
Ensure the Blood of Jesus is not polluted : Makes God's word your standard for life.

Heavenly Father, thank you for always hearing my prayers,
and allowing me to walk in your divine favor.
I plead my cause before you this night, Father,
because I have been justified through your Blood.
In the Name of Jesus.
I Thereby come before you in this prayer to plead the Blood on Jesus Christ over my life,
my home, my family, over all of my affairs,
and over all of which You have made me a steward.
I plead the blood of Jesus on the portals of my mind, my body, my heart and my spirit,
which is the temple of the Holy Spirit, and my emotions.
Therefore, I’m confident that I am protected by the Blood of the Lamb,
and nothing shall by any means, come to harm me and my family.
I declare that, through the Mighty power in the Blood of Jesus,
no weapon that is formed against me, shall prosper,
because this is my heritage as a servant of the Lord.
