Berlin Zoo announced last week that its two baby pandas have gained a lot of weight since their births in August. The pandas, born at 186 and 136 grams respectively, are both known to weigh in at approximately 1.4kg.
The zoo is working with China’s Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding to support in the care and nurture of the cubs. In the wild, panda twins are rarely raised together, with the mother focusing on the survival of the strongest cub.
